William Cooper President
As President of S&B Construction, Mr. Cooper directs the daily operations of the company, formulating strategies and policies to achieve overall corporate objectives while fulfilling the organization’s commitment to the communities we serve. Mr. Cooper strives to ensure that each client’s experience is as pleasant as possible. He further emphasizes the importance of a finished project being viewed as a success from the client’s perspective.
When he joined S&B Construction in 1987, William brought with him an extensive background in design/build, construction management, project management, and estimating disciplines. In addition, he offers experience in construction administration and design, zoning, and permitting acquired since entering the industry in 1976. William earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction from Northeast Louisiana University. William is a member of his church’s building committee and finance team. William and his wife, Reba, have been married since 1976 and have two children. When time permits, William enjoys golf, skiing, and running.
Chase Cooper Executive Vice President
As Executive Vice President, Chase works closely with the rest of the executive team to help develop and implement new goals and strategies for the company. Chase works alongside the VP of Operations to ensure the company is performing and projects are being completed on time and under budget. Chase’s main focuses are on the growth of the company while still maintaining S&B’s commitment and quality to its clients and their projects.
Growing up in a construction family, Chase was exposed to the construction industry from a very young age. Chase began his career at S&B Construction as a field laborer quickly working his way up to project coordinator, superintendent, project manager and estimator. Chase holds a bachelors degree from Indiana University in Spanish Language and Literature. Chase and his wife Erica have been married since 2013 and have two children. Chase enjoys spending time with his wife and children, hunting, skiing and watching LSU football games.
Bradley Tyler Vice President of Operations
As Vice President of Operations for S&B Construction, Brad is responsible for managing the daily operations of the company and providing overall direction to the estimating department. Brad works closely with project managers, estimators, and field supervisors to ensure projects are completed as designed and that S&B’s service meets the Owner’s expectations. Brad joined S&B Construction in 2014 and brought substantial construction experience in commercial, industrial, institutional, and health services projects. Brad served the Owners on these projects as a construction manager, general contractor, and prime contractor.
Brad earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Purdue University before meeting his wife, Linda. They have been married since 1992 and have four children. Brad enjoys time with his children, working with youth in sports and fellowship, and snow skiing.
Joe Smith Vice President of Business Development
As Vice President of Business Development of S&B Construction, Joe oversees our Ministry Facility Division. Joe trains and works with our Ministry Project Executives in Michigan, Illinois, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas. Our team focus is presenting our unique process of facilitating vision, growth, funding, sustainability, design and construction of church and school facilities. Joe came on board at S&B in March of 2011 bringing with him over 20 years of sales and marketing experience.
Joe has been involved in church leadership for over 35 years working at almost every level, including lay and ministerial, he currently serves as an Elder at his church. He brings unique insight, understanding both sides of the table, both Pastoral and Lay. Joe and his wife have been married for 45 years and have two children and five grandchildren. Joe loves spending time with his family, there is nothing better than a house full of grandkids.
Alan Moore Senior Project Manager – Ministry Division
As Sr. Project Manager in the Ministry Facility Division for S&B Construction, Alan directs and provides overall direction for the design and construction for churches, schools and other religious facilities. Alan takes a church or school through the pre-construction phase, the design phase and the construction phase of their facility. He is responsible to work alongside and coordinate the Architect and Engineer, local authorities, various consultants for the project and the building committee on a church project or school project. He provides constant project budgets, to give the ministry an accurate representation of the construction industry and their projects. He also creates and updates schedules for the project so that clients have the best possible information at hand while making decisions. Value Engineering will be performed throughout the process by Alan and his group. His mission is to utilize his experience and network of contractors and suppliers, to assist the ministry expansion of churches and schools through their building projects.
Alan is active in lay ministry in his church. Alan and his wife Tracy have been married since 1983 and have two children and three grandchildren. Alan enjoys sailing and outdoor activities when time permits.
Chaz Druetzler Senior Estimator
As Senior Estimator, Chaz is responsible for preparing conceptual budgets and competitive bids for the commercial division of S&B Construction. Chaz’s responsibilities include working with owners, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors in order to identify the project’s needs and estimate the duration and associated costs. On awarded projects he will work with the project manager to write scopes of work and facilitate the permitting process. His skills include detailed analysis of the construction documents and communicating critical pieces of information to the necessary parties.
Chaz earned a bachelor degree from Purdue University where he met his wife, Laura. Chaz and Laura have been married since 2009 and have 3 children. They enjoy spending time with family and friends.
Joni Perkins Manager – Special Projects Division
Joni has been with S&B Construction since January 2003 as Manager of the Special Retail Projects Division. She handles all aspects of our retail construction projects. Joni works from beginning to end with each client to establish budgets, help them through the architectural process, works with the local building authorities to obtain permits, and oversees the projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget. Joni has created close working relationships with subcontractors which helps give us the edge on competitive pricing. She meets every project deadline that is thrown her way.
Joni is married and has one child. She enjoys beach vacations, watching her son play football, and spending time with family.
